Ogwugwu is a Supreme mother goddess in Igbo African spirituality. She is the goddess that holds all feminine principles, such as feminine power, protection, fertility, characteristics, beauty, etc. A woman takes her principles when heading to marriage. She is a representation of one of the many manifestations of Nnechukwu. And just like Akwali Omumu, Ogwugwu can be found all over Igboland. Her consort is Udo, the deity of peacefulness and beingness. In some parts of Igboland, she is called Idei / Ide Iyi. In Afa, Ogwugwu is called Odii Ogheli.
