Amadioha is a very popular Igbo deity of the sun, thunder and lightning. In some part of Igboland, he is known as the consort of the earth goddess Ala. All over Igboland, he is called Egbe Igwe, Kanu, Kamalu, Ofufe, Igwe, and many other names. He is also known as the son of the very ancient Igbo python water deity known as Otamiri.
