The Taurus constellation is very important in Igbo spirituality, because it deals with the foundation of Igbo culture and a time when Igbo people called themselves Umu Atu - children of the creative buffalo/bull/Cow. Nwanyi Okpu is a woman from the primeval Igbo culture of Ndi Mbu. Ndi Okpu are Ndi Mbu, and Ndi Nshi Aka. These are names for the first Igbo ancestors. Our ancestors told us that the first Igbo people came from Be Aka-Ete, which is the Sirius Constellation, and Be Nne-Atu, which is the Taurus Constellation. The second Igbo ancestors known as Ndi Ushi Egede came from Ikenga Igwe, which is the Orion Constellation. These first ancestors of Igbo, in the first age of the world (Uga Aka) were androgynous beings. They created with the will power of their thought streams (Atu). The first gender amongst Ndi Okpu were the female genders. They were the ones that laid the foundations for the primordial Igbo culture and spirituality, through the culture of Atu Nnenwanyi Chukwu. The male offsprings amongst these first Igbo people identified themselves as Umu Aja Ana or Umu Ana - children of the Earth mother. The entire humans of Ndi Okpu saw themselves as beings that sprung out from the soil of the Earth, the same way that trees and grasses emerges out of the body of the earth (Aja Ana). Igbo people that freed themselves from the colonial zapping of the African minds will reveal to anyone that the first Igbo men and women emerged from the body of the Earth Mother, and that is the first origin of Igbo. Behind Atu Nwanyi Okpu are Umu Inyom Igwe (Pleiades). These are the daughters of Nne Atu. They were the leaders of Ndi Okpu. In Kemet, they were manifested as the seven Hetheru. Mehet Weret, the Goddess Bat, and Hetheru are all embodiments of Atu Nnenwanyi Chukwu. Her sacred plant is Ede (Cocoyam). Her month in the Nri Igbo Calender is Onwa Ede Ajana. Her Planet is Venus (Be Uto Ana). She is the embodiment of the time when Matriarchy ruled the world in the first age of the world (Uga Aka). Their principles was defined as Ọmalu na Ofeke, Nne na Umu ya, Nne na Ọkpara, Ọkụkọ na Umu ya, Nne Agwu na Umu Agwu. This was before the arrival of Ndi Egede that came from a more advanced universe or a destroyed galaxy.
