CHUKWU (Aka Ijite Ofu) created thunder and lightning and gave Amadioha / Egbe Igwe the power to control them through the sun. That's why Thunder and Lightning are caused by the sun. Chukwu sent Amadioha to earth to be the Chief Judge of all human trials, because the Earth Mother Goddess (ALA) does not give fair trials. If you commit an abomination, Ala will annihilate you and your entire family. Amadioha in the South of Igboland / Egbe Igwe in the North of Igboland passed a judgement on the man that stole yam and sentence him to death by lightning.

This event shows Eze Agwu passing the Judgement of Amadioha to Oma as in Nne Ofo, and Amuma Igwe agreed to the judgement. And then Amadioha electrified the man to death.

Amadioha / Egbe Igwe struck a man to death for breaking Iwu Ana by stealing somebody's yam. Iwu Ana is the law of the land or the natural laws of the Igbo Earth Goddess. Stealing is a heavy abomination in Igboland. And the stealing of Yam is one of the worse abominations, because Yam is the most sacred food in Igboland.
