Eke Kere Uwa / Ekekereuwa / Nne Eke / Eke Nnechukwu is the creator of the universe. In Igbo spirituality, the feminine counterpart of Chukwu (the great Chi) is the creator, while Chukwu is the life force of the universe. Chi Ukwu gives, and Eke Ukwu creates. And creation takes place in deep darkness, around midnight (Odiinabo).
